As some people know, Ford offered a 4-door crew cab Ranger in other parts of the world. What I didn’t realize is that a company converted these crew cab rangers into SUV’S using parts from the Ford Edge.

Becomes:

Sidenote#1: I wonder how difficult it would be to import a front clip from an updated Ranger:

Sidenote #2: Apparently this company made a few other conversions too, including the updated Ranger, a short wheelbase Excursion, and a RamBurban:

I can never find the pictures again when I look for them but I once saw photos of a Merkur XR4Ti/Ford Sierra with the front clip from a first generation Focus. It worked surprisingly well.

It’s the lines in the front fender and doors that don’t continue on to the Edge parts. I don’t like it.

It depends. Some towns here salt like their life depends on it, others don’t do it unless it’s blizzard conditions out.

The car should be fine. I’ve never heard of rust issues with Lexii, and cars of that type are usually garaged and kept clean anyways. You may see some minor surface rust but probably nothing structural.

That’s what I like to hear. Had a perfect carfax. Guy at the dealer is going to give it a look over and I’ll hopefully get some undercarriage shots later. f this works out I may be in your part of the country as soon as next weekend.
